Recuerdos de Costa Rica

I hope that everyone is doing well. The flight was uneventful. I actually went to MSP airport this morning to just check my luggage in and then I was going to head over to the mall for a while to pick up a few things and to kill some time but the lady at the check-in desk was all about getting me on the 9:30 am flight to Houston…. So I did… of course, it didn’t get me to Costa Rica any faster, just on a plane quicker & to Houston quicker. The plane was pretty empty, there was about 55 people on board the Airbus 321.

I landed in Costa Rica about 20 minutes earlier than previously scheduled, so that was a big relief. I made my way to the hotel and of course, my ritual involved finding an internet café

I am staying in the “lavish” Gran Hotel San Jose. It is just steps from the famed Opera House and in the center of the city. There is even a casino in the lobby. I booked a day tour tomorrow from the travel agency in the lobby which will take in some of the sights around San Jose’s surrounding area. It includes a trip to the Poas Volcano, a stop at a coffee plantation, and a river cruise in a dugout canoe. There are a few other things involved, like a butterfly farm and a place for breakfast and lunch.

That’s pretty much it, it’s 23:00 and my only question is, where is my bed. Who knew that waiting in an airport walking around for 5 hours could be so exhausting.
