Deir el-Bahari or Deir el-Bahri is a complex of mortuary temples and tombs that lies along the western bank of the Nile River, opposite the city of Luxor, Egypt. The focal point of this magnificent temple complex is Djeser-Djeseru – Hatshepsut’s temple. Queen Hatshepsut was the fifth pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty and is generally regarded as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty.
